Messrs Jonas and Bonrn report for tho wook ended to-day : — We are pleased to report a alight improvoment la demand and price for both sheep and oattlo, and wo sinooroly trust that wo have tonched tho lowest prices. Although feed is not abundant over the whole district, there are many who have a sufficiency, and wo are inclined to think that the want of feed hag not been tho solo canse of tho late very low prices. Owners appear to have been scared by a trifling fall m rates, and glutted tho markets m consequence ; and thi3 being felt, operated disastrously, and provonted speculation. Harvost is now nearly over, stubbles will bo available and we sincerely hope that prices will improve Pleasant Point. — Wo held onr regular salo at the Point Yards on Monday last, tho Ist inst. Thoro was moro than an avorago number of Btock yarded, and a fair business was done. We sold 49 crossbred hoggets m low condition at 58 Gd ; 90 2- tooth wethors, 7s ; 00 fat ewe.a, 5s 6d ; 332 crossbred owes, fnll month, 4i Gd ; 100 lamba, 3s lOd ; 10<l lambs, 43 7d ; 400 lambs, 4a, and 500 merino owes. 3 fat steers at £G ; 55 steers and heifers, IS months to 3 yoar3, at from £2 5s to .£4 2s 6d ; 21 steers, 2 years old, at .63 5s ; 79 store pigs from 7d to 11s 3d. Sheepskins. —Wo hold our usnal sale on Wednesday last, tho 3rd inst. There was tho regular attendance of buyers. We sold pelts at from Is, 13 3d, Is sd, to Is 9d ; lamb skins, Is 3d, Is 4d, to Is Gd ; woolly skins, from 2s Gd to 3a 7d. Horsea. — A good number woro entered for sale at our Bazaar to-day. Thoro was a nnmeron3 attendance of buyers, and wo succeeded m selling every lot entered. - The entries comprised chiefly light sorts, very few draughts coming forward, which may be expected at this, season,, farmers being 1 busy with the harvest. Privately and by auction we havo sold over 3700 Bkins at the following prices : — Best butchers' crossbreds, Is 3d to 13 Gd ; second qnality, lOd to Is ; lamb skins, from Is 3d to Is Gd ; morino3, 8d to Is ; factory Bkins from Is Gd to Is lOd ; country lots from Is to 3s 6d, according to quality. Hides. — The market remains steady at lato quotations, viz., GOlb and over 4^d ; 501 bto 601 b, 4d ; light and inferior from 3d to 31d ; cut and slippy, 2d to 2ld. At tho abovo prico3 wo cleared a largo quantity.
