AUCTIONEERS' REPORTS.

Messrs Jonas and Bourn report for tho wook ended to-day : — Business m all biuds of stock never was dnller than at tho present time. Harvest is now m full swing and to a certain extent has affected the stock inarkot, and tho very low price of sheep now rnlinj? seems to have closed the door to all speculation m this olnss. Country sales during the week have boen but poorly attended, and tho entries of stock have been light. The following aro their transactions : — Blakikihi Sale Yards.— Tho regular monthly sale was held at theso yards on Monday, the Bth iust. There wero few entries and tho attendance was small also. They sold 300 crossbrod lambs at 4s 2d, 100 crossbred owes at 03 7d, 42 crossbred hoggets, fat, at 6s 4d, and also placed two small mobs of crossbred sheen privately at market rates. Washdyke Sale Yards. — Tho usual fortnightly sale was held at this place on Thursday, the 11th mat. The attendance was small and it was difficult to do business ovon at exccediDgly low prices. Butchers seom to bo indifferent about buying, and good quality and low prices will not tompt them, as they aro principally supplied by growers. They report the sale of •_ I'ut hoggets at 7s ! id, _00 old crossbred ewes at 3_ Gd ; 4 fat heifers at £5 -3 Gd, 3 fat cows at £0, 2 fat heifers, young and small, at _3 10s, 4 dry cows, £2 5s to J23 10s. Tho salo thronghont was tho dullest ever hold m those yard. Horses.— They hold their usnal salo at their Bazaar to-day. The entry was smaller than usual, tho attendance wa3 good, but tho demand was limited. They sold exactly half of those entered at quotations. They quota heavy draught, J2IS to J32G, medium do, £12 to J3i7, light and fair horses, £S 10s to £14, hacks, from £5 to £25, according to breeding, stamp and description.
