She will sail to-day as soon as aho gets a new jibboom put m. The brigantine Cleopatra and tho schooner Welcome wore lying off at tha bnoys on Saturday. They are oxpected to como to tho wharf again this morning to continue their loading. Mr William Evans, agent for tbo s.s. Polhaui, receivod n telegram on Saturday iuforrning him that the Pelbam was going on to Greymonth from Lyttelton. She will, therefore, not call at Timarn to-day. The barquo Examiner put out tho last of her cornsacks at tho wharf on Saturday morning, and was then hauled off to the buoys to make room for tho steamers. She will start filling np with prodnco for Newcastle thia morning, and will probably get away to-morrow. The Union Company's s.s. Wanaka arrived from Dunedin on Saturday morning and took up a berth at tho inner wharf. She brought a largo cargo of goneral merchandise, and after taking on board a small quantity of wool and flour, sailed shortly after five o'clock for NelBon, Hire way ports. The a.s. Mahinapna brought a small inward cargo from the Sonth on Saturday morning, and was moored astern of tho s.s. Wnnaka. In tho evening she sailed for Northern and West Coast ports, with about ten tons of flour and sharps, shipped by Messrs R. Allen and Co. The Westport Coal Company's s.s. Kawatiri nrrivod from Westport yesterday morning early and swung to one of tho outer buoys. Sho brings a full load of coal for her local agent, Mr John Jackson, and will come to tho wharf tins msrning to discharge. Tlio schooner Colonist arrived m port from tho North shortly aftor midnight on Friday Dighfc and dropped anchor m tho roadstead. Sho sailod inside tiio Breakwater on Saturday morning and made fast to ono of tho outer buoys. Sho come 3 hero m ballast, and will start loading produco this morning • for a Northern port. Tho Oamaru Harbor Board's dredge Progress arrived about six o'clock on Saturday morning m charge o; Captain Webster, anil was moored to the bnoys. Sho left Oamarn about fivo o'olock on Friday evening, and had fine weather on tho run up. This morning sho will start dredging inside tho Brcakwator. Tho Union Company's a.s. Wakatipu, arrived from Dunedin about nino o'clock on Saturday morning and was moored at tho outer wharf. Her cargo for this port only consisted of a few bales of cornsneks. She, however, took away about 300 tons of prodnco for Brisbano and Sydnoy. Among her passengers from Dnnedin to Sydney were the Mnjeroni- Wilson Opera Company ; Colonel Sir George Whitmoro was a!3O a pas.songer from Timaru for Lyttelton. The Wakatipu sailed for Brisbano and S3'dney, via Lyttelton and Wellington, between six and seven o'clock on Saturday evening.
