Timor u Herald Office, Saturday evening. AUCTIONEERS' REPORT. MrD. Maolean (for Messrs James A. Gracio and Co.) reports for the past week as follows : — Horsea.— On acconnt of Messrs Ballantyno, Stratford, Evans, Blair, Cochrano, and others, they to-day booked at their yards for sale 'Xi medium draughts, harness horse 3 and hacks. Thoy have to report that on nooonnt of tho grcator bnlk of the lota offered being horses that were eithor somewhat out of condition, and also older than buyors like, a number wero passed m, having failed to find purchasers, aud harvest requirements having now, m a measuro, boon met, tho demand rather easier. Thoy placed nearly half of their entries at from £H to dfilO 10a for fair good draughts. Ordinary hacks brought from £1 to £8. Privately during the weok thoy have placed a lino, consisting of 5 young draughts, at a. satisfactory figuro. Sheep and cattle. — Thoy have had no auction sales of theso during tho week, and thoro 13 but littlo business boing dono privately. Thoy havo no alteration m prices to report, and if any differenco has occurred, it is that values aro koeping lowor. Fut stook are at much the aamo values as last week. Clearing sale. — In conjunction with Messrs Mundell and Co., Geraldine, they held a olenring salo last Tuesday, on account of Mr D. Denoon. There wus a good domand for most of tho lots, which consisted principally of harness horses, buggies, and tho usual plant iv connection with tho livory stables. Thoy sold 8 harness horses at from .£3 10s to .£l5 103; 4 buggies brought .£l7, .£lB, and 2 at .£2l oaeh, aud a lot of harness, saddles, rugs, &c. , brought good values. Wool and skins. — Thoy hold their nsaal fortnightly sale last Wednesday, and placed tho various lots at tho following prices : — Merino and crossbred wool at G:Jd, half-bred skins, farmers' lots, 2s lOd to 3j 8d ; fullwoolled, crossbreds do, 2s 9d to 3s 3d; morinos, Is Id to 3s -Id ; pelts, 2d to Gd.
