The market rate of discount remains at 2f , and the B;mk rate at 4 per cent. _ Ordinary business is being done in tallow and breadstuff's at late prices. Pig iron, f.o.b. iu the Olyde, haa fallen to 42s per ton. Tenders were opened to-day for the loan of £25,000, at 5 per cent, placed upon the market by the City of Auckland. The total amount tendered for was £137,000. Tenders at £111 Is will receive 96 per cent of the amount applied for, and those above that in full. (Special to the Press Association.)
