The barquentins Ocean Ranger pnt ont the last of her coal at the wharf yesterday, and took in some ballast. The barquentine Annie Bow was loading produoo for Sydnoy at the wharf yesterday. She will probably finish to-day. The sohooner Sovereign finished loading yesterday, and cleared at the Customs in the afternoon for Auckland and the Thames. She Bailed last night. The ship Canterbury took in the last of her coal from the surfboats yesterday, and in the afternoon waa cleared at the Customs for London. She takes 9922 carcases of frozen sheep and 20D carcases of lamb, 1868 bales of wool and skins, valued at .£31,639 6s 2d, of which the mutton is valued at .£9589 11s Bd, and the wool, eth., at £22,049 !4s 6d. She sailed about midnight last night. She goes away in splendid trim, and should make a smart passage Home. The 8.8. Kaikonra, which was announced to pay the port a visit yesterday did not turn np, muoh to the disappointment of a largo number of townspeople. During the forenoon it was stated she hod left Oamaru for Timaru about half-past 8 o'clock and was sore to bo here between 1 and 2 o'clock. Boats were got in readiness to go off to her, and Captain Webster kept tho tug waiting to take members of the Harbor Board and others off. But 2 o'clock came, and 3 o'clock came, and 4 o'clock came, but not the Kaikonra, and she was given up in disgust. " Some one had blundered," and tho result was an out and out " sell." Last evening's Oamaru Mail says : — The N.Z. Shipping Company's steamer ICaikoura passed this port nnder easy steam at a^onfc 8 o'clock this morning. A large number of citizens were on the outlook for the steamer, but wore only able to take a view of her at a distance of about a mile and a half from the shore.
