Leo, bis half-brother (out of same mare), won the ADELAIDE TOWN PLATE (w.f.a), the SMYTHESDALE HANDICAP, the TALBOI' BOROUGH HANDICAP, the GEELONG HANDICAP, the GEELONG GOLD CUP, the CHAMPION RACE (run at Launceston that year, 1873, w.f.a., three miles), and the TASMANIAN TUBF CLUB HANDICAP. HOTSPUR -was awarded the Gold Medal for the best Thoroughbred Entire at Oamaru m 1882, also Firat Prize at Timaru 1884. A colt by him was awarded First Prize at Christchurch, 1883. His colts were" First and Second at Oamaru • 1883. In 1884 a two-year-old colt was awarded First Prize, and his fillies were First and Second m the two-year-old class.
