(Received 10 p.m., Sept. 22nd.) The P. and O. Company's Carthago arrived to-day. The mails per P. and O. Company's Parramatta, dated Melbourne August 11th, were delivered to-day, via Brindisi. The Orient Company's Chimbornzo's mails, dated Melbourne August 7th, were also delivered to-day, via Naples. Codsols have receded to par. At to-day's wool sales 9500 bale 3 were catalogued. The demand for staple wool remains steady, but is not active.
