ABBIVED. Sept. 2— Koikoro, s.s., from Port Chalmers. sailed. Sept. 2— Mahinapua, s.s., for Wellington and West Coast. Sept. 2— Go-ahead, s.s., for Wellington. Wellington, Sept. 2. The stoamer Stella, while between Stephen Island and The Brothers on Monday, fell m with a heavy N.W. gole, accompanied with a tremendous sea. At 3 p.m. a large body of water broke over her port side, smashing and washing away the port boat aud davits , and considerably damaging the starboard boot ond putting the vessel on her beam ends. The Bteamer woa theu hove-to for on hour and a half.
