The following is the Christcharch Corn Exchange report for tho week ended Friday tho atthinst.:— Tho transaction!! in the grain and prodnce markets during the past week have been of an unusually qniet nature. Milling wheat (prime) is saleable at last quotations, with little offering ; .second quality continues stagnant. Chick wheat (whole) engages attention at full rates. OatH keep moving into trade conanmption, preference being given to bright feed linns. There has also lieen an unrjuiry for good Danish oatH for Hhipment. No «al<!H of moment have taken place in barley. Very cheap lines aro chiefly sought after for fond pnrpo.ied. Peas 'and beans aro quiet. Renl primo blno pea« find buyers at fnll ratfls. There haa also been a desire to obtain prime beans at a (flight concession off quoted pricoa. ByegrsiM i» suarco, and fnil rates are obtainablo ; while in cocksfoot tho Hupply has been fni'y equal to the demand ; bat Hellers are firm, nnd in many instances profor holding to submitting to any reductions in price. I'otatoes have been sold dnring tho week at prices qnotcd below, but huycrn do not aeom inclined to speculate very heavily. Lastweok's quotations for dairy produce are still maintained ; at tho samo time there are no buyers beyond thoHO who havo actual ordor.s on hand.
