NOTICE is hereby given that the Annual , Examination of Pupil Teachers will ' commence m the Timaru Main School on TUEBDAY, June 2Srd, at 9.30 a.m. ' Pupil Teachers m the service of the Board are required to present themselves for the ' Examination corresponding to their recognised status m the Schools, unless they have already passed such Examination. In tlie latter case they may either enter for the next higher Examination or consider themselves exempt. It must be clearly understood that the mere passing of an Examination confers no i title to a corresponding rank m the Schools. ' Promotions, except . m special cases, will be 5 made at the expiry of a year's servico m the l lower rank, if m the meantime the proper , Examination has been passed and the required 1 age attained.
