Wellington, May 28. New Zealauc 1 — Slight depression m the south ; still high pressure m the north ; winds moderate and changeable, but chiefly westerly ; shower 3 m the central part of the colony. Australia — High pressure over interior and south coast : depression approaching from the west ; wind 3 moderate and generally fine. Barometers — In New Zealand : At Busaell, 50.3; Wellington, 30.0; Bluff, 29.8. In Australia : At Albany, 29.9 ; Hobart, 30.1 ; Portland, 30.3 ; Sydney, 30.4.
