ARRIVED. Nil. SAILED. May s—Kingarooma,5 — Kingarooma, s.s., tor Wellington. Tho K.JI.S. Kaikoura was_ successfullydocked here this morning to repair the damage to her propeller. Several bolt 3by which the propeller blades are fastened were found to be broken. She will most probably be m dock all to-morrow. Auckland, May 5. The s.s. Penguin left for the South at 11 this morning, with the Southern portion of the San Francisco mail. Tho City of Sydney arrived at ten o'clock this morning, after a very heavy weather passage. She has fonr cabin passengers — Mra York and Messrs Cowan, Coalbank and Moore and 17 steerage passengers, and 92 tons of cargo for New Zealand ; also 45 cabin passengers for Sydney. The steamer sails at daylight. The Herald, which collided with the Garelooh on Sunday m the Manukau harbor, and afterwards proceeded on her passage for Greymouth, returned to Onehunga yesterday, the captain being compelled to run back for shelter, the weather being exceedingly dirty outside. The Gareloch is to be brought round to Waitemata harbor to effect the necessary repairs. Wellington, May 5. Arrived — Grafton, s.s., and Wanaka, s.s., from the South ; Mahinapna, s.s., from Greymouth. Sailed — Omapero, s.s., for Dunedin. A Magisterial enquiry was held this afternoon into the cironmstances of the loss of tho barque Oceania m the Straits yesterday. After taking evidence, the Assessors postponed judgment until to-morrow morning.
