THE LATE FIRE AT WELLINGTON.

Wellington, April 20. It is believed that Mr Squire Barlow, who was assisting m suppressing the fire at Te Aro House on Saturday night has lost his life m the building. He was seen to enter the building to rescue one of the assistants, but sinne then he has not been 6een or heard of. He was partner with his brother m the greengrocery line, and was to have returned to work on Saturday night. The whole of the debris m the building has not yet been removed. Mr Barlow is a married man, and leaves four children. The stock mTe Aro House is estimated at fully £35,000,- and the insurance was 0n1y£14,500, so that Mr Smith suffers a very great loss. The building was worth £7000, but was only insured for £4500.
