• ♦ (By Electric Telegraph— Copyright. ) (Reuter's Agency.) [Received 11 a.m., April Oth.l Bombay, April 8. Earl Dufferin held a durbar to-day at Rawalpindee. The ceremony was of a splendid character, and was largely attended by influential native Princes. The Ameer of Afghanistan made a speech, m which he expressed his gratitude to the Queen for her favors, and stated the Afghans would join firmly with the British m resisting any external enemies.
