The barque Deva finished discharging the Timaru portion of her cargo at the wharf yesterday. She will be hauled off to tho buoys to-day, and sail early for the Bluff. The Black Diamond liner Mawhera arrived from the Sonth yesterday afternoon with about 30 ton 3of general merchandise. She sailed m the ovening for Northern and West Coast ports with produce. The Union Company's s.s. Mahinapua ia due from the Sonth on tho 9th, and the s.s. Taupo on the 7th. The former sails for Lyttelton, Wellington and West Coast port 3, and the latter for Auckland, via way ports. The Union Company's s.s. Omaporo arrived from the Sonth yesterday morning with a small cargo of general merchandise. After discharging and taking m a quantity of produce, she sailed m the evening for Northern and West Coast ports. A vessel, probably bound for this port, was observed boating about m the offing yesterday morning, but owing no doubt to the heavy nor'-wostor blowing here she put out to sea again. When tho wind calmed down she again caino m sight, nnd late m tho evening dropped anchor m tho outer roadstead, but it was too lato for ns to ascertain her name. The brigantino Marshall S. hove m sight yesterday morning, and waa picked up by the p.s. Titan and towed inside the Breakwater, whore she wsa moored to the outer buoys. Sho brought no inward cargo, her captain bringing her. here to try and pick up a load. Captain Craig reports leaving Auckland on the 22nd mat., and experiencing heavy S.E. gales for the first five daya. Rounded East Capo on the sixth day out, and from thence to arrival had variable weather, alternating from calms to gales. The Marshall S. is a finelooking brigantine of 179 tons, and was built at Halifax m 1879. She is owned by her master, and has been trading about the colony for tho last eighteen monthß, principally m the Oaniarn- Auckland trade. (By Telegraph.)
