The National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand (Limited) report on the local markets as follows : — Wheat (shipping) has a hardening tendency, and i 3 quoted at 3s 7d to 3s 8d per bushel ; malting barley, dull, 3s 9d to 4s 6d ; New Zealand oats, both feed and milling sorts show a slightly improved tendency, prices ruling for feeding qualities being 2s 9d to 2s lld, and for milling 3s to 3s Id per bushel ; New Zealand oats under bond, 2s 3d to 2s 6d per bushel ; ryegrass seed, iv fair demand, 3s Gd to 4s 6d. The prices for kauri timber are firmly maintained.
