RUSSIA AND AFGHANISTAN.
Reported Occupation of Herat.

A report is current to-day that MajorGeneral Lumsden has entered Hernt, and that the advance guard of the Russians has reached Pul-i-Khalim, on the Hermud Rivor, about 120 miles north-west of Herat.
