Acceptances for Welter Handicap, Timaru Cup, Timaru Steeplechase, Handicap Hurdles, District Plate, Flying Handicap. THURSDAY, APRIL 16th— Evening of first day's racing. Weights for S.C.J.C. Handicap and Winter Oats, at 9 p.m. ; Acceptances by 10 p.m. RULES AND REGULATIONS. . No entry will be received for any of the races except upon this condition — That all disputes, claims, and objections, arising out of the racing shall bo decided by a majority of the Stewards, or those whom they may appoint ; their decision on all points connected with the carrying out of this Programme to be final. All Entries and Acceptances must be m sealed covers addressed to tho Secretary, Timaru, and contain entrance money, sweeps stakes, description, age, and name of Horse, and colors to be worn by the Jockey, and must be m the hands of the Secretary by 9 p.m. on above dates. No late letters or telegrams received after that hour. . . i South Canterbury Jockey Club Rules will be strictly adhered to. Hack races to be ridden m proper Jockey costume. ; In the event of a person entering a protest, the sum of £2 2s must be lodged with the Secretary before such protest is considered, this sum to be forfeited to the funds should the Stewards consider the protest frivolous or vexatious. . ' Five per cent will be deducted from the gross of all moneys paid m accordance with the programme, for expenses, and when not otherwise specified, all entries and acceptances to go to the funds.
