He added that Government was now only discussing .the necessary details, and it was unlikely there would be any great delay m deciding definitely as to the acceptance of offers from the colonies. Cairo, March 3. Intelligence has been received that General Wolseley has recalled to Korti the British column under Colonel Braokenbtfry, which was advancing on Berber. Iberia, one of the transports, was leaving the Heads yesterday afternoon, she came into collision with the steamer Nemesis, one of the escorting fleet. Two women and a child were crushed to death by the collision. One of the deceased was watching her husband off to the Soudan. London, March, 3. The town of Kassala has fallen, and a thousand of the garrison have been killed. Lord Wolseley's eyesight is at present affected. The Agents-General have had a conference with the Marquis of Hartington m regard to colonial troops for the Soudan. The Duke of Cambridge and Lord Derby were present, and the questions of transport, discipline and efficiency were discussed. The Agents stated that the colonies would be glad to renew the offers already made, m tho autumn.
