The brigantino Eliza Firth arrived from Greymouth on Saturday with a load of coals for the Railway Department. The s.s. Kawatiri arrived from Westport about five o'clock last evening, with a cargo of coal for Mr John Jackson. The Union Company's s.s. Ohau arrived from the South on Saturday morning with abont 30 tons of general merchandise. After discharging and taking m a full load of produce, she sailed for Auckland via way ports m the evening. - The Union Company's s.s. Taiaroa arrived from Dunedin on Saturday morning with a cargo of merchandise and a number of passengers. She reports experiencing strong northerly winds and head sea up the coast. Sho sailed about half-past eight m the evoning for Nelson via way ports, with a small quantity of cargo.
