Acceptances for Welter Handicap, Timaru Cup, Timaru Steeplechase, Handicap Hurdles, District Plate, Flying Handicap. THURSDAY, APRIL 16th— Evening of first day's racing. Weights for S.C.J.C. Handicap and Winter Oats, at 9 p.m. ; Acceptances by 10 p.m. RULES AND REGULATIONS. No entry will be received for auy of tho races except upon this condition — That nil disputes, claims, and objections, arising out of the racing shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards, or those whom they may appoint ; their decision on all points connected with tho carrying out of this Programme to be final. All Entries and Acceptances must be in sealed covers addressed to the Secretary, Timaru, and contain entrance money, sweepstakes, description, age, and name of Horse, and colors to be worn by the Jockey, and must be in the hands of the Secretary by 9 p.m. on above dates. No lato letters or telegrams received after that hour. South Canterbury Jockey Club Rule3 will be strictly adhered to. Hack races to be ridden in proper Jockey costume. In the event of a person entering a protest, the sum of £2 2s must be lodged with the Secretary before such protest is considered, this sum to be forfeited to the funds should the Stewards consider the protest frivolous or vexatious. Five per cent will be deducted from the gross of all moneys paid in accordance witli the programme, for expenses, and when not otherwise specified, all entries and acceptances to go to the funds. F.
