I am very much '•pposed to patent medicines generally nnd totally discountenance the balsams, oxymcla, eli*' r .% syrups and other emanations of unprincipled empirics -, but I regard your Lung Preserver as a really good preparation, entirely free from those qualities which render m st patent medicines dangerous and possessed of those tonic and stimuliing properties which render it a treasure to those who suffer from the exhausting effects of pulmonary disease and chest affections generally. In cases of asthma it quickly cuts short tbo paroxysm. In chronic bronchitis or winter cough it is useful; tho discharge of mucus is greatly assisted, and the wheezing and difficulty of breathing are greatly relieved by it. In acute bronchitis it is also beneficial', and whilst it tends to check infltumuation, it promotes expectoration, and thus relieves the laborious and difficult breathing so general m these attacks.
