BAD FARE.

[Advebtisbmbnt.]

TO THE EDITOR OF THE TIMABTJ HEEALD. Sib,—A few days ago I stayed the night at the Orari Hotel, leaving my horse for three days until returning from Chrißtchurch to be paddocked, where I understood he was going into good feed. In settling up my account I found I had been charged for two feeds a day at the rate of 2s a feed, and at once looked at the horae to see if he waa any the better for it. I found him the other way—his hips high m the air and rib-bones showing distinctly, m fact m good training. I thought on my way home what a pity the Woodbury races are not coming off this afternoon, I I would have my horse p.ll ready. All I can say is Mr Breadley's oats must have been very fusty or the sparrows very bad at the Orari last harvest. Apologising for taking up so much of your valuable space, I am, &c, W. PoiiHIM,. Four Peaks Station, 28th February, 1884.
