News has been received here from i Kaasala, a town on the river Marob, near the Abyssinian frontier, which haa been m a state of siege for nonie time past, that the garrison of Egyptian troops recently made a sortie from that place. A strong force of rebels was «m---oountered and an engagement ensued, which resulted m their defeat with considerable loss. Lokdon, Feb. 20. Telegrams to hand from Sonakim announce that the British troops under Major-General Bir G: Graham made an advance from Trinkitat this morning and came np with the enemy at noon, wben orders were given for an attack m force to be made. At the time of the despatch of the message from Sonakim no further news had been received. March Ist (3 p.m.). An official telegram has just been received giving news of a victory by the British troops under Major-General Graham over the rebels near Tokai. The message statefl the enemy was attacked m force yesterday, and a general battle ensued. The fighting was very desperate on both sides, and lasted till nightfall. The British were finally successful at every point, the rebels being driven from all their positions. The British loss is slight, and get down at 10 killed and 40 wounded.
