The shooting was coiiiinued at 9 o'ckck yesterday morning, and the Auckland match for r.fles, the Wellington match for carbineß, iicd the first range of the Marlborough mutch for rifles were completed. The weather wag a°aiu all that could be desired by shooting men, and during the afternoon there was a large number of spectators on the rt.nge. The shooting on the whole was fuirly good. There was nothing of special mlerett, however, except that Churton, of Wanganui, increased his lead for the Rifle Belt, while Webb (Wellington) and Rom (Napier) reduced the gap between them and F. France (Wellington) who holds the premier position for the Carbine Belt. Gill (Thames) who was second for the Carbine Belt last year, !-> also creeping up, and palled seven points on France yesterday.
