In the House of Lords last night, th' 3 motion of the Marquia of Salisbury condemning the Egyptian policy of the Government was adopted by a maioritv of 100 votes. iii* In the Honse of Commons the motion of Sir Stafford Northcote that the recent dis -.titers to the Egyptian arms m the Soudan are the results of the wavering policy of the Government m connection with Egypt crime np for discussion. Tlie Premier's statement waß similar to that delivered during the afternoon by Earl Granville m the House of Lords, but Mr Gladstone announced m addition that L'lrd Wolseley has instructed General Stevenson by telegraph to send Colonel Graham, with a portion of the British garrison at Cairo, to relieve Tokar. "ilr Gladstone also stated that telegrams had been received from Gordon Pasha reporting that he had been welcomed on all sides during his journey through the Soudan by the inhabitants. Capetown, Feb. 12. It is reported that Celewayo died from the effeots of poison, and a post mortem examination has been ordered.
