A meeting of ratepayers of tbis distriot was i held yesterday at tho Boad Board ofHce at eleven o'clock, for the purpose of considering ; tbe advisability of closing certain roads m ( the district. From Mr Edminsor, stating that the road known as Soarboro rond terminated abruptly at the railway line, so that thero was no com* munication with tho beaoh, and asking the Board to take steps to bare it opened on to the bos.eh.
