TheOhairman stated that he had instructed tho Secretary to inquire from the Committee their reasons for desiring Miss Kissel's dismissal, bnt no re.ply had been reoeived. A. letter was read from Miss Kissel, stating that she bad informally resigned to the Committee m oonsequenoe of the unpleasant position she found ' herself m through the antagonism of tbe Head Mistress ; but she subsequently learned that she could not resign to tbe Committee, und that ohe had distinct rights as a member of the Board's teaching staff. She, therefore, did not follow up the iur'ormal resignation by a formal one. It was deoided to apply to the Committee for their reasona fair desiring tbe dismissal of ths second mistress. A letter was received from Messrs Ferry and Perry, stating l.hat the plan prepared by Mr Roberts of tbe fiutherlands sohool site had been found insufficient for the purposes of the Land Transfer office, and nn amended plan would be required. The Secretary wts instructed to communicate with Mr Roberts. Failing to obtain his services, and be bas left the district, a resurvey will be required. TBACHEB9 1 AGEKBMBNTB. It was resolved that the seal of the Board be affixed to ths agreements of tbe following teachers -.—Miss H. M. Lsdbrooke, Mr E. W. Gurr, Mr G. B. Macalpine, Mr G. M. Westropp, Mit.9 Mina Kissel, Mr Alox. Mclntosh, and Mr Andrew Cuthbert. PUPIL TKiCirUßs' BXAUIIUTIOK. Mr H.W. Hammond, Inspector, presented a report, as requeited at tbe previous meeting, on the examination of pupil teachers m music and sohool Management, these subjects having been onuttod from the report he bad already presented. The effsot o? adding tbe marks for these subjects was to vary a little tbe order of merit, but did not affect the passing or non-pausing of uny of tbe candidates. He also acknowledged the receipt of a letter from Mini Hunt, one of the pupil teachers, commenting on the results of the eiamination as thuy affected benelf. After looking through the examination papers and his notes he found no reason to alter his report upon her wcrk.

Tbe Board then went into Committee to consider some masters more suitably dealt with m Commit tee.
