There was a crowded attendance of Home and foreign buyers. The catalogue wa3 of a fairly well representative character, and comprised 1130 bales, of which all but 15 bales were said. The competition was very brisk and the prices realised very satisfactory to growers. Greasy wools sold up to 12W, and scoured up to 19Jd. Prices generally were about equal to rates ruling at the close of last season. Owing to a considerable improvement which has been manifested m London advices, the prospects of the Melbourne sales are exceedingly good, and it is known that extensive buying orders are on hand.
