Miscellaneous. THE DIP FOR NEW ZEALAND. I.ATCH'S IS THE GENUINE Registered Trade Mark. I. I C« * DIP SOLE MANUFACTURERSi J. HATCH & CO., INVERCARGHLL. WE take this opportunity to state that the Dip sold under the agency of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) is not the "Wilson's Colonial Sheep Dip " as supplied to those gentlemen whose certificates are printed below, and which certificates are being appropriated without leave by those persons advertising them under the Agency as above. Testimonials and letters received to substantiate this a iv given below. Edendale Estate, 14th January, 18S2. Messrs J. Hatch and Co., Invereargill. Dear Sirs, — In reply to your enquiry as to the success of the Sheep Dip you supplied me with last season, I have much pleasure m stating that it gave mo great satisfaction, and fully sustained the previous high opinion I had formed of your dipping compound. Without doubt, as far as my experience goes, there is no Sheep Dip to compare witli it m its lasting effects (and this I believe is the most essential properly m an insect-destroying compound, as any one of the numerous 'dipping preparations m the market will destroy vermin for the time being, and I never saw flocks so clean and free from lice and ticks as were those here at the past shearing season, notwithstanding that the dipping took place so long ago as March. With regard to the use by Mr Logan Wilson of the previous testimonial I gave you, I have only to say he certainly has not my permission' to use it. The Dip he is advertising may or may not be equal to or superior to yours for aught I know, but until I have had experience of the compound manufactured by him I must protest against the insertion of my testimonials to yours m his circular. J I am, dear Sirs, yours truly, Wjt/Hay, Manager (late of Tot ara Station). Morton Mains, Ist October, 1881. Mr Hatch, Chemist, Invercargill. Dear Sir, — I wish to express siy surprise to see my testimonial to you regarding the quality of your Sheep Dipping Composition, which bore date 31st December, 1880, copied and published under tho Agency of New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Company, by Mr Logan Wilson, of whose Dip I know nothing, never having purchased any except thai manufactured by yourself only, and which I reported on.
