from the Commercial Bank of Australia were discovered today buried m the earth at Mordialloc, fifteen mile 3 southeast of this city. The locality was indicated hy the prisoner Corbott. The prisoner Burns, who was sentenced to death for the murder of Michael Quinlivan m 1880, wan executed to-day. The Melbourne manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand, Limited, reports of thcluciil grain market as follows : — The wheat market is depressed, shipping parcels, 4b 10d ; medium, 3i 9d to 4s 4d ; malting barley, 53 toos9d, market sluggish ; New Zealand m fair demand ; feeding sorts worth 3s to 3s 2d ; milling ditto, 3s 2d to 3a 3d ; New Zealand oats, under bond, 2i 2d to 2s sd.
