Tho Melbourne manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand (Limited), reports of the local grain market as follows : — Wheat, shipping parcels aro m fair demand at 4s lid to 5a ; fowls' wheat is slow of sale .it 3a 4d to 43 3d ; milling barley, 53 to 63 2d, market steady ; a moderate enquiry is experienced for New Zealand oats at 2j lid to 3s 2d for feeding sorts, and 3a 2d to 3s 3d for milling do ; New Zealand <iats under bond are quoted at 2s 2d to 2» 4d, market quiet. Sydney, Sept. 11. Arrived, thi3 morning — Union SteamBhip Wairarapa, from Auckland. Brisbane, Sept. 11. Two more case 3of smallpox occurred at the quarantine station among tho passengers by the immigrant steamship Duke of Westminster, which recently arrived here from London. Albany, Sept. 11. Arrived, yesterday evening — P. and O. Company's Steamship Clyde, with inward Suez mail, dated London, August 10th.
