Tho barque Rewa being now 152 day 3 from this port for the United Kingdom, considerable anxiety 13 felt a3 to her safety. She loft Timaru on tho 15th of April under the command of Captain D. G. Thomson, who had his wife with him. Her crow consisted of G. W. do La Mare, chief officer ; B. Thomson, second officer; T. Verge, E. Konebs, T. Jeffrey, W. Berry, W. Rodney, H. Boxall, P. Westpenny, F. Moore, J. Tipplo and A. Johnson. Tho Rcwa (formerly named the Hope) is an iron barqne of 434 tons register. She 13 144 ft Bin long, breadth 26ft 9in, and depth of hold 16ft 4in. She was built at South Shields m 1867 by Messrs Redhead, Softley and Co., for Messr3 Killick, Martin and Co., of London. In the year 1880 she was classed *Aal at Lloyd's. Last year, besides changing her name, she changed owners, Messrs C. Bethell and Co. being tho purchasers, and wo believe this firm aro her present owners. The Rewa loaded a cargo of grain at this port last April on account of Messrs Roberta, Paxton and Co., of Christchurch, clearing at tho Customs, Timaru, for Queenstown or Falmouth for orders on tho 12th of April, and sailing tho same night. Although the Rewa has now been over five months at sea, we still hopo that she will arrive safe, especially aa more powerful vosseld which left about the same timo havo made exceptionally long passages, extending m one instance to ovor 130 days.
