From the Comminsioner of Crown Lands, Ohrißtchurch, stating ho had advieed the Government to rescrvo a piece of land on tho Aehwiek Flat, and that it would bo vested m tho Mount Cook Road District for plantation purposes as requested m the Board's letter on tho subject. From Mr Ashbj, complaining of damage done to his land by eurfuco water from tho road. Resolved — " That tho Engineer report thereon." From Mr Orbell, applying for tho conB true' ion of tho surveyed road running from the Mountnes.ini; Roa-J to Coal Creek, through tho Now Zealand and Australian Land Co.'s freohold. Resolved — " That the Engineer report thereon." From Mr Stronach, appWing for a grant of £25 for the purpose of forming parts of the road between Bon Ohou homestead and the Ohou river, and offering, if the Board would content, to superintend the construction of the work. Btsolfed — " That tho money bo granted to Mr Slronarh for tho purpose desired, but tho Board cannot pay for tho work until it has been Tallied and approved of by the Board's Engineer." From Mr Timothy Sugrue, applying for a fortnight's extension of time on bis rock blasting contract. Boeolved — "That tho extension of time a«ked for be granted to Mr Su^ruo, but that after the expiration of the extended time the set-off for delay would ba enforced." From Mr W. H. S nith, applying for the formation of & street at Silvorstream, to givo access to his home there. Resolved — " That tho surfacemen make tbe street pomable for a drny, when working m that neighborhood." From Mr T. Caskoy, enclosing rent and impounding returns of Fxirlio Creek Pound to August ltt. FAIBLIE CREEK BAILWAT. Resolved — "That Captain Sutler, Member for Gladstone, bo requested to aek the Hon. the Minister for fublic Workß about what date the railway to Fairlio Creek will bo open for goods and passenger traffic, und to urge the Government to comploto tho work as soon as possible." BATS. Rciolved — " That a rate of id m tho £ on the capital valuo bn struck m the Alount Cook road district for the year 1883, payable m one sum not later than September 30th." The following ojtimate of revenue of the Mount Cook rosd district for the year ending July 31st, 1881, was laid on the table by order of tho Board : — lntcrrst on fixed de» posits, £420 ; rate of id m the £ (from district), £800 | do do (from Crown), £132 14s 8d ; rents, £242 ; Government grant m aid of main roads under Roads and Bridges Construction Act, £225 ; Government grant for part construe! ion of Mount Cook track, £100 ; total, £2219 14s Bd.
