The letter also dates that tho Grovernment has do inteation of asking for my farther appropriation than already ippe&rs on the Estimates out of the £180,000, that being sufficient to carry the main line to Bed Poit. So the remaining portion of the £180,000 shall be intaot until dealt with by a future session. The Government is not prepared to express an opinion o« the Canterbury and Marlbocough Hoe. The Premier further promiies to survey the route from Horaley Dowm to Brunoarton befon next session.
