Tho St. John's Collego RemoTol Bill and and the Timaru Racecourse Eoserve Bill were read a second time. THIRD BEADING. The Criminals Execution Bill was read a third time and passed. FIRST BKADISQS.. The Otago Harbor Board Beeonstitution Bill was brought m by tho Hon. Mr Whitaker and read a first time. The Confederation and Annexation Bill, and the Taumutu Native Commonage Bill were received from tho House and read a first time. IMPORTATION OF STOCK. In reply to Mr Peacock, the Hon. Mr Whitater said tho Government had decided for the present to prohibit the importation of all stock whatover. ADJOURNMENT. The Council roee at 4.10 p.m.
