THE STRIKING OP THE ENERGY AT GREYMOUTH.
(By Teleobaph.) Auckland, July 13. An official enquiry was held to-day before the Collector of Customs into the case of the schooner Energy taking tha bar on coming out of Greymouth. Captain Savory deposed that at the time the vessel struck the weather was fine, bnt a very heavy sea was breaking on the bar. Ho did not consider there was any danger m going "out, especially as tho Gael, drawing a foot more wator, had gone out safely some half an hour before. The Energy will discharge her cargo of 201 tons of coke and be taken into dock for repairs. Tho damage to the vessel is estimated at The evidence will be forwarded to the Wellington authorities.
