(Pbess Association Tel«»bah.) Wellington, Jnly 18. LEGISLATIVK COUNCIL. The Council met at 2 30 p.m. THB BABBIT FBBT. In reply to Mr Miller, the Hon. Mr Wbitaker said Government were taking all possible means to cope with the rabbit pest, both on Crown and on private landa. THIBD BBADIKQS. The Prisons Bill, Crown Grants BiM, Sheriffs Bill, and Trustees Bill were read a third time. SCAB StIISANOS. The debate on the toab nuisance was resnmed, and after some further discussion the amendment to appoint a Committee was negatived, and Mr Bobinion then withdrew his motion.
