The ship Min-y-don, which left Newcastle on the 11th February last for Lyttelton, with a cargo of coal, and bos not since been heard of, has been "posted" at Lloyds. THE IRISH DIFFICULTY. The London Times this morning published a telegram from Egypt stating that the Khedive and Dervish Pasha, the Chief Turkish Commissioner, have sent a request to the Sultan that 18,000 Turkish troops should be despatched without delay to Alexandria. The proposition to hold a Conference for the settlement of the Egyptian question is now gaining fresh prominence m European political circles. Cairo, June 14. The British, French, and other Con* sula-General resident here have gone to Alexandria. June 15. A general exodus of Europeans from this city to Alexandria is taking place. The offices of the English and French Controllers-General have been olosed. Alexandbia, June 14. The ringleaders m the recent attack upon Europeans have been arrested. In consequence of the unsettled condition of the city the garrison his been largely increased. The total force of troops here is now 12,200. : Jane 15. Australian tallow — Best beef remains at 43s 6d, and best mutton at 44s 6d. June 14. Consols have again risen to 100J ex dir. There are no other changes to report m the money market, or m the markets for colonial produce. THE WOOL SALES. June 13. At the wool sales to-day 11,400 bales were offered to a firm market. June 14. Ten thousand six hundred bales were catalogued at to-day's wool Bale. Good competition was experienced at full current rates.
