The barquo Aberdeen, still lies m tho road»toad, tho wind yesterday not being favorable to her departure. We find the following paragraph »n the Auckland Herald of a late date:— Tho master of tho American barquo Aberdeen,, writing from Timnru to a correspondent m Auckland, under, date 20th November, says :— " Tho Timaru newspapers 'surmise' a good denl. Yesterday they 'surmised' I would boon tho beach, because one of their clippers enmo near dragging ashore i and they ' surmised' I was heavily insured. They also had a long piece m the paper nbout my hivrng no sigmls. I told them that they had better put the price of their signals m ths weight of their chains, ond they would hold on better."
