The usual monthly meeting of the Timaru High School Board of Governors was held last nigbt m the Education Board office. MEMBERS PBBSBNT. Rev. W. Gillies (Chairman), Messrs Bruce, Howell, and Cliff. ABSEirr MEMBEBB. A letter of apology was read from Mr Bolfield, stating that he wa» unnble to attend that evening. The Chairman also stated that the Secretary, Mr Cluleo, waa m Dunedin, and was not able to return m time for the meeting, owing to the interruption of railway

Tenders, accompanied by plans, for planting and laying out tlm tcbo j! grounds wore opened, and after due const leration it was resolved, on ♦be motion of Mr Ifnweli, seconded by Mr Brnce — " That tin- ji'i-ns and tender of Mr Fitzgerald be accepted, subject to euch modifications as the Planting Committee may think fi\" Mr Howell moved, Mr Bruce seconded, and it was carried— "That the Planting Committee be authorised to have all the school grounds ploughed." On the motion of Mr Cliff, seconded by Mr Bruce, it was carried—" Tbat the Chairman be requested to apply to the Timaru Park Commissioners, for hollies to fence the Timaru High School grounds." Mr Bruce moved, Mr Howell seconded, and it was resolved — "That the Planting Committee be empowered to call for tenders for fencing the Timaru High School grounds." On the motion of Mr Cliff, seconded by Mr ITowell, Mr Bruce was added to the Planting Committee. ADJOTJBNMBNT. The meeting then adjourned.
