[SrEOIAI TO,THE " TIMABU HbKAIiD"] Melbourne, June 19. A despatch received from the Secretary of State for the colonies, says that Sir M. Hicks-Beach has not yet received any suggestion likely to secure the finality of legislation. He hopes there is no desire to confer complete political supremacy on the Assembly. He credits both Houses with reasonable desires, and expects both to assist m a solution of the difficulty. These points were omitted m the Ministerial summary of the despatch already published. Parliament meets for the despatch of business on Bth July. The Government have notified to the Associated Banks that they intend to withdraw the Public Account m six months. No reason for this step is assigned. The Australian and European. Bank reopens on Saturday. Sydney, Jnne 19. The full despatch from Sir Michael Hicks-Beach to Lord Normanby has been published here. The former dismisses the idea of conferring uncontrolled supremacy upon the Assembly, and condemns its tactics. He has seen no proposal for Imperial legislative interference which he deems free from objection. He hardly anticipates that the Imperial Parliament will consent to disturb, at the instance of one Colonial House of Parliament, matters embodied m the Constitution Act, unless the Council refuse to concur m reasonable proposals for future relations mre fiscal matters, and persist m doing so after the constituencies have ratified the Assembly's proposals. [Reuter's Agency.] Sydney, June 19. The schooner Louis Peacock, bound from Queensland to Sydney with timber, has been wrecked off Newcastle. The sailmaker was drowned, and the rest of the crew and the passengers were saved. The vessel was owned m Sydney by Messrs Robey, and was built m New Jersey m 1855. Melbourne, June 19. The Legislative Assembly, last night,, passed a vote of L 300,000 for education, and rejected a resolution regarding the
