Hicks-Beach has not yet received any suggestion likely to secure the finality of legislation. He hopes there is no desire to confer complete political supremacy on the Assembly. He credits both Houses with reasonable desires, and expects both to assist m a solution of the difficulty. These points were omitted m the Ministerial summary of the despatch already published. Parliament meets for the despatch of business on Bth July. The Government have notified to the Associated Banks that they intend to withdraw the Public Account m six months.
