[By Tblbqbaph.] CHRISTOHURCH. Thursday Evening. The wheat market has improved during the week, and buyers are eager to operate, though prices have advanced. Sales are reported at 3s 9Jd for first-class samples. Willing ia worth 3s 9d ; medium, 3s 3d to 3s 5d ; chick wheat, 2s lOd to 3s 2d. Oats are m brisk demand : best quality fetching 2s 8d to 2s 9d ; good feed, 2s 6*d to 2s 7d. In barley there is no alteration from last quotations — 5s 6d to Ss 9d. Potatoes are m brisk demand, early seed being worth £6 to £6 per ton ; and blue Derwents, £3 10s.
