The flagstaff at Timaru is situated m 171 deg. 17 mm. 20 sec. East longitude ; 44 deg. 23 mm. South latitude. High water, full ; and change, 3 hrs. 25 mm. ARRIVED. Jan. 3 — Zior, schooner, 68 tons, Bell, from Picton. Jan. 4— Lady Bird, a.s., 289 tons, Garrard, from Picton. Jan. s—Flirt,5 — Flirt, brigantine, 100 tons, from Newcastle. SAILED. Jan. 4— Lady Bird, s.s., 289 tons, &arrard, for Port Chalmers. Jan. 4 — Glimpse, ketch, 39 tonß, Baker, for Port Chalmers. Jan. 4— Palmerston, ketch, 25 tons, Brown, for Catlins river. IMPORTS. In the Lady Bird, National Mortgage and Agency Company, agents : 60 tons merchandise. Consignees — Evans -, Shaw ; Shepherd ; Taylor and Bowie ; Moore and Son ; Hibbard ; Belfield ; Rice ; Saunders ; Meikle ; Cornish ; Turnbull. The s.s. Lady Bird arrived here last Saturday from Lyttelton. She sailed again for Port Chalmers the same evening. The brigantine Flirt arrived here ;■• rday from Newcastle, which port she k t't oa the 19th of last month. The ketch Palmerston sailed for Catling river on Saturday, m ballast. The ketch Glimpse sailed for Port Chalmers on Saturday with a cargo of wool. The schooner Owake is loading at Lyttelton for this port.
