Messrs Turnbull und Fyfo were appointed to v.-ilue the available estate. An adj >urned meeting of creditors m tlio estate of Elder and loung was held yesUrday, and was further adjourned for a few days. SYDNEY GRAIN REPORT. MELBOURNE MARKETS. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., report under date Melbourne, 13lh Juno, 1877, aa follows : — The market for breadetuffs has shown considerable activity since the commencement of the present week. Several hirge suits liavo been made of boh wheat and flour, at an advance on last week's prices. TTUEAT. Tho receipts show a considerable falling off as compared with previous weeks. At the closing of lust week 7s to 7s Id were Iha highest prices obtainable for prime northern. On Monday tho mark;t opened with a better inquiry, and tales were made at 7s 2d, and yeaierday a large parcel was placed at 7s 3d. At to-day's auction 7s Gd was realised for eeviral line?, au.l holders are now a-king 7s 9d. FLOUR. The market for flour has only responded m a small degree to the a Ivauce established. WHEAT. Sales ycsterJay were made at £15 15s and to day at £10. A small lot of two tons realised at auclion £16 sb, but for good-sized parcels wo cannot quote over £16, although there are no sellers at this price, as the tendency of the market is evidently pointing to a further advance. OIT3. The arrivals have been heavy, and a corresponding busineso has been done. Sale* of Taßinauian and New Zealand feed have been made ut 3s 0J to 3s lid for good to prime, and for stout milling 'is 3J. B4BLET. Sales of prime malting have been made at 4s Bd, nnd inferior descriptions from 3s Gd to 4s Gd, feeding qualities at 3s 4d. MAIZI. Owing to heavy arrivals tho murkct has been easier, gales having been made at 3s lid, and we quota this figure as outside pric^ obtainable to-day. PBAB Continue m good request at 4s Gd. BEAK AM rOLLABD Are Belling at Is 4d to la sd. OBAS3 SEEDS. There has been no business doing during the week, and as tlie season for sowing is now nearly over, we cannot look for any activity for some time to come. From Goldebrough's Monthly Circulir, dated, Melbourne, June 11, 1877, we clip the following : — WOOL. Transactions m this market hare been very limited tince our lait Circular. The total quantity sold was about 1500 bales, which consisted chiefly of balances of clips from the bick country, which it was impossible to get to market until the late ruins hud rendered the rivers navigable. There has been a pretty active demand, the principal buyers being tho local manufacturers and fell mongers, and prjees have been well maintained, being fully equal to those ruling last month. 'Ihe telegraphic advices respecting the progress of the secjnd series of colonial wool sdes m Londrn are not very encouraging to shippers. The telegramj received to the 20:h ulfc. reported an improvement to the extent of 5 per cent, since commencement of sale?, but towards the end of the month a quieter tone prevailed, caused principally by the extreme caution evinced by the French buyers, and prices receded to opening rates — or only about 5 per cent, above those of July and August last year, 12,000 bales having been withdrawn. The decline m prices has not induced that demand from the Home trade that was expected, their purchases beiDg limited to the immediate requirements; audit is evident that the Eastern question continues to weigh heavily on the market, manufacturers complaining of the difficulty of obtaining orders for their goods, the prices for which, even on the basis of the reduced values of the raw material, scarcely show any margin of profit. Sbould, however, the rumors now current of a disposition shown by the belligerents to makepeace prove well founded, we may soon look for tome improvement m trade. Reports received during the month from the northern parts of NewSouth Wales are most reassuring ; but from the Murrumbidgee and Murray districts, as also from the western portion of the Lacldun, we regret to state they are much le?s satisfactory, the supply of rain falling very f r short of the requirements of the country. It is now evident that the next clip from these large pastoral districts will be materially reduced, owing to tho heavy losses cf sheep sustained duriii!» the drought, as well as from the Eenerallv po^r condition of the enrvivors. The results of the lambing, as far as they are known to the present, are, as might be ci» pected under the circumstances, very deplor* able, the most favored stations only showing a small percentage of increase. Prices current remain nominally as follows :— Greasy — In» lerior, 6d to 7d ; ordinary to arerage, 7Jd to

9d ; good to superior, 10 1 to 1?. Flee?e, washed — Inferior, Is to la lid; ordinary to nvrrnge, Ifl 2d to Is -i-'l ; avenue to gooil Is 4Jd to Is 7r! ; su| crior, 1= 0.1 to 2s :M. iSVoured — Inferior, lOd to Is ; on! niry, I* to Is 2d; middling to g od, Is 31 to la Gd ; superior, Is 7d to Is lOd. SHEEPSKIXS. Tho usu'il sales held during the month have been well attended by the locil and country fellmongem, and we ) are disposed of n largo supply of all descriptions at quotations, viz : — Fresh butchers' skins. 2s 0! to 5s Gd eaiili, a few prime lots from Kivcrina realising up to 5s Od each ; cross-breds, 5» to Ga Gd each ; station^ ?kin3, ordinary growth, 3d to 4£d pf-r Ib ; extra long, of which a very few are oUcring, up to Gd per lb. We have a good demand for iirst-clais skins, which are now showing a f air length of staple, but faulty and inferior skins are not so ready of talc. IIIDE3. We have sold an avemge qinntily of town find country blau<;litvrcd ut prlres comparing favorably with thosa lutvl.y ruliiiL'. The shipments received from o' her colonies lire much larger than usual, and .arc m special demand, particularly heavy-weights, which are worth up to sid per lb ; ordinary wet-salted sold from 4d to 5d per lb ; fresh ox hide*, 17s to 30s each; cowhides, 14s to 22s each; and calfskins, 5d perlb. All sales nrc for colonial manufacture, consequently we. have no shipments fo report. TATXOW. In consequence o! tho limited quantity now offering, which ia scarcely sufl'n-ient for the requirements of tin local manufacturers, tho extreme rates quoted lust month still continue, and wo have sold several parcels of g lod mutton at £10 par ton. Wo quote ordinary mutton, £3G to £39 ; boef, £35 to £37 1 0.-«|; ond mixed, £32 to £3G per ton. The only shipment is 20 casks p.-r City of Santiago, for London.
