Ahmed Mudler (?) has been reinforced with 24 battaliom at Nickaich (Nikaiki ?). Singapore, 19, 3.45 p.m. A despatch from Mukuhtar Paiha states that the Russians were defeated at Alashgerd, after severe fighting. No news has been received from the Danube. It is semi-officially stated at St. Petersburgh that mediation is impossible. A levy is proposed. ♦ —
