Eob Eoy is a dapple brown, stands 16 hands 2 inches high, 5 years old, strong flat bone, showing the pure Clydesdale breed, with superior action, docile temper, and has proved himself a suro foul -getter, Eob Eoy was bred by Messrs Neil Black and Co, Victoria, whose stock are too well known to comment upon. ■ Eob Roy was got by Garibaldi, out of the fur famed mure JRosie, imported from Scotland m 1859. Gruribuldi is by Wellington, also imported by Messrs Black and Co, out of the imported mare Gipsy, both gainers of many prizes. Garibaldi was sold for 600 guineas. She is by the celebrated horse Champion ; and 13 also tho dam of th<j entire horse Hampden, the winner of many first prizes. Beauty gained first prize at Taieri, three first prizes at the Northern Agricultural Association, Oamaru, two first prizes at the Agricultural Society's show, Pahnerston, and once first at the Agricultural Society's 6how, Waikouaiti. Emperor, by Napoleon imported, out of Nancy, imported and bred by Alex, Findlay, Esq., Sandyhills, near' Glasgow. Nancy was got by the celebrated Garnary Horse. She was first shown as a three year old, and gained first prize at Hamilton, first at Bailleston, second at Glasgow, and second at Eilbride j she was next year shown as a brood mare at Glasgow and Kilbride, where she received similar honors. Emperor was shewn at Dunedin m 1865 as a two year old, gaining first p;ize, and second for the best horse of any age, his sire being first. He has also gained first prizes at the Taieri and Clutha show 3.
