Mails for the United Kingdom, the Continent of Europe, America, and the northern ports of New Zealand, will close at 9 p.m. on Thursday, the 3rd proximo. Money orders And registered letters at 5 p. m. : Letters for Hokitika and Greymouth are now charged under the Inter-provincial rate, viz., 3d per half-ounce. ■ S The Christchurch and North road mails will m future close at 6 p.m. every Tuesday, -Thursday* Vnd Sunday. Mails for Lake Takapo, Pleasant Point, Opawa, Raincliffe, Mountnesaing, aud the Mackenlie Country, close at 9 a.m. every Sunday.Mails for Waimate, Waitaki, Otago, and the south, close at 1 a.m., every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
