Horses. mO STAND THIS SEASON, At the Levels Station, The imported, pure Clydesdale Horse IVANHOE. Ivanhoe was bred by the Duke of Hamilton. Hi* sire, " Sir Walter Scott," gained the first prize at the Highland Agricultural | Society's Show at Dumfries m 1860, the first prize at Glasgow m 1861, and at Batter' sea m 1862. His dam, "Maggy," also gained the first prize as a three-year-old at the Highland Society's Show, the second prize among the best draught mares m 1862, and the first prize as best brood mare m 1863, with Ivanhoe at foot. Terms— Eight Guineas each mare, groom'B fee of five shillings included. Should any mare not prove m foal, one half the covering fee will be returned. Mares sent to the Levels will be placed m well watered paddocks. All Fees to be paid on first service of horse or before removal of mares. No responsibility incurred. Malton is a dark chesnut, bred by Sir Tatton Sykes m 1858, by Rifleman, dam by Hampton, grand-dam .Centurion's dam by Comus. Rifleman by Touchstone, out of Campfollower, by The Colonel. For further particulars see English Stud Book. Terms — Eight Guineas each mare, to be paid before removal of the mare. Season beginning October Ist. Good paddocks provided, but no responsibility.
